1. Who we are
XLSites is operated by Xandland Enterprises, LLC (“XLSites,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), a Texas limited liability company. For any privacy question or request, contact us at tjalex@xandland.com. We are the party responsible for the information described in this policy.
2. Scope of this policy
This policy covers two groups of people: (a) visitors to our marketing website, and (b) clients who purchase our services and complete our onboarding. Where we build and host a website for a client, that client is responsible for the privacy practices and any privacy policy of their own website and its visitors; this policy governs our handling of information, not theirs.
3. Information we collect
Information you give us
- Contact & account details — such as your name, business name, email address, and phone number.
- Onboarding information — the business details, descriptions, hours, service areas, links (your existing website and social profiles), preferences, and any other information you submit through our intake to help us build your site.
- Uploaded assets — logos, photos, videos, documents, copy, and other files you provide for your website.
- Communications — the content of emails and messages you send us, and change requests you submit.
Information we collect automatically
- Usage & device data — when you visit xlsites.com, we or our providers may automatically collect your IP address, browser type, device information, pages viewed, referring pages, and similar analytics data.
- Cookies & similar technologies — as described in Section 6.
Information from third parties
When you give us links to your public pages (such as a Google Business profile, social media, or your current website), we may collect publicly available information from them to help build your site. We may also receive limited information from our payment processor to confirm a transaction.
4. How we use information
We use the information we collect to:
- Provide, design, build, host, and maintain your website and the related services;
- Communicate with you about your project, account, invoices, and support;
- Process payments and prevent fraud;
- Operate, secure, and improve our website and services, including analytics;
- Respond to your requests and provide customer support;
- Comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms; and
- With your permission where required, send you occasional updates about our services.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use your onboarding materials for anything other than serving you, except that we may display a finished client website in our portfolio as described in our Terms (you can opt out).
5. Why we’re allowed to use it
Depending on where you live, we rely on one or more of the following bases to process your information: performance of our contract with you (to deliver the services you purchased); our legitimate interests (to operate, secure, and improve our business); your consent (for example, optional marketing emails or non-essential cookies); and compliance with legal obligations. Where we rely on consent, you may withdraw it at any time.
8. Payments
Payments are handled by a third-party payment processor. We do not receive or store your full payment card number; the processor collects and processes that information under its own privacy policy and security standards. We receive only limited details necessary to confirm and manage your purchase (such as the last four digits, billing name, and transaction status).
9. How we protect information
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures — such as encryption in transit, access controls, and reputable infrastructure providers — designed to protect the information we hold. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, however, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. You are responsible for keeping your own account credentials confidential.
10. How long we keep it
We keep information for as long as needed to provide the services, maintain your website, comply with our legal and tax obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. Project files and assets are generally retained while your Care Plan is active and for a reasonable period afterward so we can help with a handoff. You may ask us to delete information sooner, subject to the exceptions in Section 11.
11. Your rights & choices
Depending on your location, you may have the right to:
- Access the personal information we hold about you;
- Correct information that is inaccurate or incomplete;
- Request deletion of your personal information;
- Object to or restrict certain processing;
- Request a copy of certain information in a portable format; and
- Opt out of marketing emails at any time using the unsubscribe link or by contacting us.
To exercise any of these, email us at tjalex@xandland.com. We will respond within the time required by applicable law and may need to verify your identity first. Some information may be retained where we have a legal obligation or legitimate business need to keep it.
12. Third-party sites
Our website and the sites we build may link to third-party websites or services that we do not control. This policy does not apply to those third parties, and we are not responsible for their privacy practices. We encourage you to review the privacy policies of any third-party site you visit.
13. Children’s privacy
Our services are intended for businesses and adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 (or the minimum age in your jurisdiction). If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.
14. International visitors
We are based in the United States, and the information we collect is processed and stored in the United States and by our providers, which may be located in other countries. By using our services, you understand that your information may be transferred to and processed in the United States, where data-protection laws may differ from those in your country.
15. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date above and post the new version here. If we make material changes, we will take reasonable steps to notify you. Your continued use of our services after the changes take effect means you accept the updated policy.
